Authentic american anime

Description

What I was going for here was authenticity to the anime style as I have seen it. I knew from watching shows that were not anime that having characters that have different eyes and different expressions detracted from the story, but just made me think "wait, who is that? Why do they look different? Why is the story over in just one episode?" I also realized from watching anime from japan that there was a danger of having too many colors. I remember watching that dreadful show, FLCL and thinking "why did his eyebrows change colors? Why is that hand a photo? why is that city so big?" and it just distracted me from the atmosphere of the scenes. My other problem with that show is that it just appeared wild, like the stretchy animation was merely a result of the gags and the action rather than headlumps, and this is where american emulations of anime have perfected the formula. No distractions, no extra colors, no crazy faces, just an emphasis on peacefulness. I hope I have perfected these principles.
