Pronk of the bear-pig

"After my escape from the electrode field, Hank, the baichu who saved me, led me to it's flock. After two days, I had mind to use my only bullet, on one of the hundreds of deadly meatballs or on the gun's holder. However, I noticed a rattaka suckling a baichu mother without absorbing it's full energy. Regretting my fillings and hoping Hank would restart my heart if the mother flinched, I moved in unopposed. Luckily my whole mouth was in agony, so my metalic dentistry was not a problem. Interestingly, my heartbeat synchronized with the mother, but such a relaxing bonding experience is lost on someone hunted and afraid. I wonder if I left the stove on. This was my most comforting, occupying thought as I was miles from life in the planet's stink-crack sucking on a furry car battery: 'I wonder if my freaking rusty gas stove from before I was born blew my whole town to flames while I was on this jolly stroll.'"
